Our last Parents-for-Parents meeting proved to be exactly what we have set out for this group to be...an informative, non-judgmental forum of parents from the North and South sides of our district sharing a range of issues regarding their children and giving one another advice and support. Bernie Kaplan took time out of his busy schedule to attend our meeting and shared many words of wisdom and advice with us all, and for that we owe him a big thank you.
To that end, our next meeting is sure to be just as beneficial and in line with what Parents-for-Parents is all about. We're thrilled to have Jerry Cozine, our North Middle School principal, join us as we'll tackle many social/emotional aspects of adolescence and have an informal, free flowing discussion once again. Mr. Cozine is both a middle school principal and a father of four children (all in grades 6-8!), so his input will undoubtedly be invaluable.
The meeting will be held on Tuesday morning, March 14th at 9:45am at the home of Michelle Ahdoot at 223 Dock Lane.
As we all very well know, the complicated world of being a parent of teenagers isn't always easy, and having these talks amongst ourselves at Parents-for-Parents enable us to share ideas in an informal forum knowing that nobody will be judged or frowned upon.
We hope you can join us. Many thanks, Michelle Ahdoot and Serina Rosenbaum Parents-for-Parents Chairs
